Frameb: a quartet featuring alto saxophone, piano, double bass, and drums. This project emphasizes original music (acoustic jazz, ambient, improvised music, electronics), enriched by recorded voices and speeches that are seamlessly integrated into the compositions, dynamically manipulated with effects. These voices deepen the exploration of the themes chosen by the group, which, in this case, focus on Climate Change.

The original compositions are strongly influenced by improvised music and minimalist elements, both melodically and harmonically. The inclusion of speeches allows the players significant creative freedom, enhanced by solo moments.

Laurence Cousseau Quintet presents its debut album, Les Groseilles de Novembre, rooted in an aesthetic of magical realism. The group’s singular sound is shaped by the combination of alto flute and bass clarinet, creating a rich and distinctive sonic palette. The quintet draws on the energy of jazz figures such as Eric Dolphy and Charles Mingus, while embracing influences from modern music and contemporary jazz.

One of hilde’s great strengths is her ability to find completely unexpected, sometimes downright daring links between abstract sonic invention and traditional grace. This rare gift is most evident in her live performances. It hardly matters who is responsible for which playful impulse, which tone colour, which composition or which spontaneous idea. Four musicians merge into one person, hilde, an individual with four heads and eight arms, who confronts us with massive gentleness on “Tide”. The same goes for the whole arc of the album. Each song stands on its own, but the order is not arbitrary. hilde is telling a story that needs to be heard from the first to the last note.

A power trio of double bass, drums and saxophone / bass clarinet. Compositions that merge atmospheric contemporary jazz, cinematic textures and fearless improvisation.
After playing together for years in projects such as Vestige, Margaux Vranken and Aishinka, Tom
Bourgeois, Fil Caporali and Daniel Jonkers formed a trio to continue their musical dialogue.
They take a free and open approach to their own compositions, leaving ample room for improvisation.
Mist gathers their influences into a deeply intuitive musical conversation.
