Little Fly is Federico Stocchi’s new band, a space where he surrounds himself with friends/musicians he loves. Two pianists, Yu-Ting and Lenny, are brought together to create a soundscape exploring the different sides of their instruments, grounded by the abstract and raw drumming of Gaspard. In this environment Federico finds the perfect playground to express himself, navigating the balance between solid bass lines and spontaneous moments of exploration. Their music embraces differences and contrasts, and it’s rooted in connection between the musicians, honesty and playfulness. It’s about growing up without unlearning too much, a nostalgic trip to the future.

Mingus Minga Mingum is a collective of musicians coordinated by Clément Cerovecki, and fully dedicated to the music of composer and double bassist Charles Mingus. The aim is to keep this amazing repertoire alive, that shifts between swing, bebop, blues, gospel, free jazz, and classical influences, while adding a personal touch. In the vein of Duke Ellington’s big band, but with more fury, and chaos, this music, still too rarely performed, is an endless source of inspiration and fun for us.

From the beginning, the idea behind Double Madness was to explore the possibilities of a jazz quartet without a harmonic instrument, giving more space to the two saxophones and a different kind of role to the rhythm section.
